Some false convictions of Interim Management.

The recent INIMA survey provided the opportunity to re-address some of the open questions with some reasoning based upon data rather than intuition!

Most Assignments come through Interim Providers

False, all the European IM associations found that the major sales channel was the personal network of the Interim Managers. However, it was interesting to note that personal marketing and executive search agencies were also effective.

Business accountants are a significant source of IM business

False, even though business consultants have a strong working relationship with SMEs this sales channel was insignificant for professional Interim Managers of all the European IM associations., if it exists then it is out of the loop.

Private Equities are a significant source of IM business

False, same as business accountants if there are IM assignments then they are also out of our loop.

Fractional Interim Management is an innovation

False, in January 2021 the number of Temporary Managers working with part-time contracts in Italy exceeded those with full-time contracts.
